Meet the Team: Earl McDowell, Jr.
Earl is BlueConduit’s Business Development Manager. Here’s a quick Q&A with Earl.
Why did you join BlueConduit?
I joined BlueConduit because I was impressed with the BlueConduit mission in terms of being on the forefront of providing clean water to the citizenry of the United States. Upon having conversations with BlueConduit’s leadership I was even more impressed with the expertise and the passion of the company’s personnel.
What professional experience and expertise do you bring to BlueConduit?
I have 25 years of experience in a variety of business development, scientific, geopolitical, demographic, and urban planning capacities. My capabilities range in several areas including: account/territory management, geographic information systems (GIS), environmental sciences and statistical analysis. I also have a background in nonprofit administration, interacting with community organizations, event planning, working with business leaders and fundraising activities with elected officials. I have served as liaison between federal officials and municipal administrators, conducted charrettes with diverse communities: suburban, rural, and urban.
What does a day in the life of BlueConduit’s Business Development Manager look like?
I will be responsible for driving sales, managing customer relationships, maintaining a knowledge of our company’s products and services, and prospecting and identifying new customers within new channels.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
My wife and I are empty-nesters. Our adult daughter is a teacher in Dallas, Texas and my wife and I enjoy traveling to the Caribbean and the West Coast. I also spend a lot of time volunteering with my fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi where I am a local chapter president. Within that role I manage fundraising activities, facilitate a male teen mentoring program, and participate in dozens of community service projects throughout the year.
