Chase is BlueConduit’s Solutions Architect. Get to know Chase through this quick Q&A:
Why did you join BlueConduit?
I wanted to do something that would benefit my community, and BlueConduit’s mission and vision of a lead-free world seemed like a great place to start. I saw an opportunity to build something unique here and I wanted to take it.
What professional experience and expertise do you bring to BlueConduit?
I’ve done a lot in my professional career! I have 10 years in the GIS consulting industry, as well as 10 years of utility mapping experience. I also have 5 years of ArcGIS Online administration and customization experience specifically, which I use every day in my work here at BlueConduit. I specialize in problem solving, solution development and working directly with customers to help them get what they need from their GIS environments.
What does a day in the life of BlueConduit’s Solutions Architect look like?
My day typically involves general GIS QA, solving complex problems, and developing solutions for our clients. I also help manage our ESRI environment and work on integrating it with our clients’ ESRI setups. Collaboration with our Product and Customer Success teams is a big part of my role, ensuring our customers have the best possible experience.
What work accomplishments are you most proud of, and what goals have you prioritized for this year?
I’m most proud of helping get our Water Mains product off the ground. This year, my focus has been on improving our Lead Service Lines and No-Lead Validation products as well as enhancing the new Water Mains predictions so clients can better understand their water main infrastructure and make the same actionable, equitable decisions around replacement that they do for lead. I’m really excited to help BlueConduit lead the way in developing predictions for when a water main might fail.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Lexa and our children, Sutton and Lincoln. We spend much of our summertime boating and swimming at the Lake of the Ozarks. I also referee high school football, so from August onward, most of my spare time is dedicated to that. I’m also an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, and Saturdays in the fall are all about cheering them on.
