Join us at the Blue Water Convention Center for the continuing education, technical presentations that week. Find us on Wednesday, September 13 at Booth 13. Register today!

Also, be sure to attend Detroit Water and Sewerage Department’s presentation at 10:30AM on Friday, September 15. The presentation “Detroit Water and Sewerage Department’s Accelerated Lead Service Line Replacement Program” will cover their work to inventory, replace and communicate with the public about their more than 80,000 lead lines in the City of Detroit.

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) estimates there are more than 80,000 lead service lines delivering water to homes in Detroit. It has worked aggressively to develop a plan to replace those service lines – locating the lead service lines, securing funding to replace them, and enacting a service line replacement program that simplifies the process for residents to participate. These steps will allow DWSD to be well-positioned to comply with EGLE’s 2040 deadline for replacing all lead service lines in Michigan.
